Program Purpose
This International Women’s Day workshop is an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the achievements of women in Japan, while thoughtfully reflecting on the current and future role of women in the Japanese workplace.
Through the perspectives of experienced Japanese businesswomen, the session will explore how career paths, leadership, and life stages intersect with work, and why continued efforts toward gender equality and equity remain essential - not only in Japan, but as part of a global movement.
The workshop also offers participants a safe and open space to listen, share perspectives, and develop greater awareness of how diversity, respect, and inclusion contribute to stronger organizations and more effective teamwork.
